Data Retention Policy

This Data Retention Policy describes how FloristsChoice retains, archives, and deletes data associated with your account and use of the Service. This policy supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. Account and User Data
Active accounts: Personal and business data (name, email, company, billing address) is retained for the lifetime of the account.
After account cancellation: Account data is retained for 90 days following cancellation to allow for reactivation or data export requests. After this period, all personal data is permanently deleted.
2. Business Content
Content you create in the platform — including recipes, arrangements, quotes, and related business data — is retained for the lifetime of your active subscription.
After account termination, this content is retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted from our systems.
3. Billing and Payment Records
Billing records (invoices, payment history, subscription events) are retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with financial and tax regulations. Payment card details are never stored by us — they are held by Stripe in accordance with their own data retention practices.
4. Log Data
System logs (access logs, error logs, audit logs) are retained for up to 90 days for security monitoring and troubleshooting purposes, then automatically purged.
5. Email Communications
Transactional email records (delivery status, timestamps) may be retained by our email provider for up to 30 days in accordance with their policies.
6. Backups
Automated database backups are retained for up to 30 days. Backup data is encrypted at rest. Deleted data may persist in backups for up to this period before it is fully purged from all systems.
7. Data Export and Deletion Requests
You may request a copy of your data or request early deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us at hello@floristschoice.com. We will respond within 30 days. Note that legally required retention periods (e.g., billing records) will still apply.
